What are Dietary Supplements?

A Dietary Supplement usually ingested in pill form (soft gels, tablets, liquids, powders) and would include one or more of the following Vitamins, Mineral, Herb or other Botanical and Amino Acid.

Are you tired, have no energy, out of shape or concerned about your health and your loved ones. These are probably some of the reasons why so many people are taking Nutritional Supplements.

Preventative medicine, there is also that old saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” (Benjamin Franklin) meaning you take supplements to help prevent health problems in the future.

Find some who lived a long and healthy life like Jack LaLanne and copy them. He lived until the age of 96 even though his father died at 58. Up until that point he was the picture of health. And what did he preach, it was exercise and nutrition.

He became famous for his Juicing machine which was used to extract Nutrients from fruit and vegetables. The difference between getting nutrients from juicing and taking supplements is time.



Which Supplements do I Take?

There are so many supplements on the market today which ones are you supposed to take. Multivitamins are the simplest to take because they usually contain most everything and its one a day.

If you buy online you can read the reviews and ratings on certain supplements to see how everybody else feels about them. For most people I believe its Trial and Error. Common sense and moderation will also help you make decisions.

If you can’t make up your mind Ask your Doctor especially if you’re on medications or antibiotics.
